After the conclusion of the program 13th of July the bills and acts are presented to the Governor General and various Ministers of the Territory and Federal Government for review and comment. The program staff spend a number of months lobbying the relevant members of Parliament, encouraging them to adopt the legislation passed by the YP.
This lobbying is spearheaded by our Advocacy Team, which consists of the Advocacy Coordinator, Media Officer, Partnerships Officer, two participants specifically selected for their leadership qualities, and the Taskforce Coordinator and Parliamentary Coordinator ex officio.
There are also a number of informal events organised throughout the year post-Camp, bringing the young people who participated together once more to socialise and review the progress of the ideas they fought for during the program.
